Large quantities of unlicensed medicines have actually been taken by Department of Health officials throughout a search of a home in Glengormley.

A man was interviewed by department officers about illegally importing and consequently providing unlicensed impotence medications via the internet.

The 47-year-old was likewise questioned about other medication offences.

He will now be the topic of a report to the general public Prosecution Service.

The search was performed by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its office, Peter Moore, said: "It is vital that we get the message across that unlicensed medications can be harmful.
